The Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands (ATIB) offers citizens the mobile application "ATIB – Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands," designed for smartphones and tablets. This app facilitates inquiries and transactions with ATIB, allowing users to engage with the service both with and without user identification in a streamlined manner.

Without user identification, users can select their preferred language, submit inquiries through a designated form, view ATIB office locations, and request appointments. The app also allows users to pay taxes and debts by providing specific information (Issuer, Reference, Identification, and Amount) found on their payment documents or by scanning the corresponding barcode. To use the scanning feature, the app requires access to the device's camera.

In the "Offices" section, when choosing the option to get directions, the app will launch the device’s mapping application to guide users from their current location.

User identification can be performed by entering a DNI/NIF along with a taxpayer code (or password) or through the Cl@ve system (an electronic identity for public administration). Once identified for the first time, subsequent access can be completed using biometric methods such as fingerprint or facial recognition.

In this version of the application, once identified, users have access to a variety of options:

• Consultation of debts paid from January 1, 2017, including obtaining a payment receipt.
• View outstanding debts and complete payments if applicable.
• Check periodic taxes that are billed automatically, with the ability to modify bank account details for direct debits or to request new direct debit arrangements.
• Access personal user information with an option to edit details.
• Activate receipt of notifications or communications via SMS, email, or within the app itself.

It is important to note that information on paid and outstanding debts does not include declarations or self-assessments of paid regional taxes nor documents associated with taxes or outstanding regional debts that were settled during the voluntary payment period.

Telematic payments for taxes and debts can be made using a bank card (regardless of the issuing entity) or through electronic banking services offered by cooperating entities. After completing a payment, if the banking institution does not automatically redirect users back to the application, they will need to click the "Back/Continue" button on the payment gateway to obtain their payment confirmation receipt.

The application contains a privacy notice ensuring appropriate protection of personal data. It guarantees that information will only be used to fulfill tax rights and obligations or related debt collection duties. Furthermore, personal data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
